the Story
From Plateo to Glennview
Follow the full journey of Alpha and Omega, from a shattered planet light-years away to a quiet mountain town that will never look at the sky the same way again.
A World in Ruins
On the planet Plateo, nuclear war leaves the land scorched and its people sheltering underground. Among the greatest losses is the extinction of the Plateosauruses, the only living dinosaurs known in any galaxy. President Karabe, grieving the loss, sends his daughter Reva and a small crew to Dinosaur Island in search of anything that survived.
Two Eggs, One Hope
Deep in a collapsing cave, Reva and her pilot Ammone find what they came for: two uncontaminated eggs, one male and one female. Karabe names them Alpha and Omega, “the beginning and the end.” With Plateo still too dangerous, the eggs are sent across the galaxy to a hidden cave in Earth’s Rocky Mountains, to wait until it’s safe to bring them home.
A Secret in the Mountains
Springtime brings the hatching of two small, gentle dinosaurs. Months later, on a Boy Scout troop’s annual camping trip near the town of Glennview, two young scouts, Skeeter Davis and his best friend Doby Anderson, stumble across the pair while filling their canteens by a stream. Their story is so unbelievable that no one back home takes it seriously.
Growing Pains
A year later, the boys return to find Alpha and Omega grown far larger, and the dinosaurs, remembering their young friends, follow them home. What follows is equal parts chaos and charm, as two enormous, good-natured creatures wander through barns, fences, and water towers, turning quiet Glennview upside down.
The Return
Just as things threaten to spiral out of control, the people of Plateo return, once again led by Reva, to set things right. Old fears give way to wonder as the town learns the truth about Alpha and Omega, and about just how much bigger the universe really is. What happens next brings the whole town together in a way no one could have expected and leaves the door open for the story to continue.
